COP25
Climate Summit 2019
Meet us at COP25
After supporting the COP22 Marrakech (2016) and COP23 Bonn under the presidency of Fiji (2017), Moving for Climate Now travelled once again to support and spread the goals of the COP24, this time on a route that ended in Katowice (Poland). This year’s summit has given considerable new momentum to the fight against climate change with the drafting of the rules that will come into force in 2020 when the Paris Agreement is implemented.
Our Contribution to the Talanoa Dialogue
The Talanoa Dialogue is a forum for discussion between governments and civil society about climate change, and was set up under the umbrella of COP23. It is structured around three questions:
- Where are we?
- Where do we want to go?
- How do we get there?
The contributions to this forum are key to designing the strategies for fighting climate change and its harmful effects for the planet. For this reason, Moving for Climate Now has worked hard, not just to draw attention to COP24, but also to contribute to the Talanoa Dialogue through the voices of a number of experts. There are 6 main subjects to be tackled by the Moving for Climate Now team along the route, with a daily discussion taking place on each of them at the end of every stage.
